Dark horse wines shun the easy path. We scour the countryside in search of those small and elusive vineyards where the farmer stands watch over them like a lioness does over her cubs. The wines are treated throughout their creation with the care of a strong parent, leaving them alone when they are heading in the right direction and nudging them back when they stray from the path. In the end they are sturdy and strong, lush with fruit and balanced in their presentation. They have made us proud.
